Jim is a great advocate for all Vermonters. As an elected leader, he focused on issues important to Vermont’s working families, including: affordable housing; regional planning; transportation and economic development; health care reform; education and protection of children; support for Vermont’s public services and public employees; protection of civil and employment rights; ensuring open and transparent government; accountability from public officials and departments; and improving our election process and voter participation.

Jim has worked his entire private and public career in Vermont. He understands the needs and concerns of Vermonters. Jim is committed to ensuring accesible and open government for all citizens.

The Secretary of State’s office plays an important role in our lives. It is tasked with protecting and promoting our democratic rights and privileges. Vermonters want and deserve a person who we know and trust to serve as our next Secretary of State.

Jim will work to ensure open and transparent government, demand accountability from public officials, improve our election process, increase voter participation and strengthen campaign finance laws.
