Former state Sen. James Condos made a return to the Statehouse Wednesday as he announced his bid to replace outgoing Secretary of State Deborah Markowitz.

Condos, who served eight years in the Vermont Senate, was surrounded by his former colleagues from both chambers of the Legislature as he formally entered the race for one of the state’s top elected positions.
